Yes we do get made fun of enough, now stop laughing at me! Just because I wear a cloak and scream "COME MY MINIONS FOLLOW ME TO THE GREAT BEYOND" When I want them to come inside, thats no reason to laugh... BTW Im serious about that
Also I could see a Myth movie, or perhaps just 1 book of black company (Not the whole thing) and hte myth movie would be just TFL. Perhaps some type of dark cartoon, using the same animators that did the myth movie (I don't think live ac tion would be able to protray some things like ghols or others) But perhaps 3D rendered stuff combined with real acting would be good. But I do not think it would be good to do ALL the levels, because it would be to long, and in order to have charector development you would have to follow a Warrior or somone who was in the whole war. It would be cool if you started on crows bridge, up until after the dream duel with shiver, and then you whent through the rest of the year up to Silvermines, where they go afte the arm, and it illistrates everything up to the Watcher, or perhaps instead of skipping stuff, the levels that were skipped they could just read the jounal right out of the game. Then after the Watcher, you see deceiver and watcher go at it (Another fallen lord down, another time jump) they read more text out of the game and then they skip to Pools of Iron level, right where ALric warps them in, and up to the great devoid. If it was successfull they would make Myth 2.
Black Company would require much less managment, because in the first book it is only told through the eyes of one perosn, and the main cahrecter should be croaker, and should concentrate on what he sees, and could have lines and actions taken right out of the book, because they are not player defined.
Actually I think there is a possibility of something like this happening, a remote possibility. Hollywood would ruin it, but small movie companys tend to stay close to the script because they do not have "Experts" telling everyone what is popular. If somone or a group of people (Perhaps the whole asylum) could convince bungie/taketwo/glenn cook to give rights to the movie, and since there are a lot of fledgling movie companies that are waiting to make it big with a hit movie, if we could convince one of them to take it up it would be a possibilty.
This conciders more looking into.
Or if worse comes to worse somone could just get a bunch of cameras and at the next fan-fest we could bring our cloaks/swords/helmts (Heck I have some!) and just act it out in front of camera making something cross between braveheart and Blair witch project... But worse... much worse... :p
