Interesting...or The Faceless Man could have been a kind of master spy for the Dark, with no armies, but followers in high ranking positions in the armies of both the Light and Dark, able to exert vast influence right across the world and find out virtually anything. This might explain why the Dark had an ambush all ready for when the Light came through the World Knot at Covenant, why the Watcher has troops waiting to the South-East of the city, when he was coming from the North, how the Dark knew exactly where to find the weilder of a certain very powerful magic bow, why there was a veritable army waiting for Alric in Pools of Iron, etc.
