: I know that most people agree that the Watcher is one of
: the "Intially Evil" Fallen lords, but I
: don't really know where you get this. It is my opinion
: that it really was the Deceiver who was evil, and the
: Watcher who was a good guy.
The description of the Watcher as an "Ancient Evil" is from some pregame info. There's no reason to think it's been changed since, though...GURPS describes the Watcher as similarly ancient, and as a necromancer with a "poisoned mind" since back in the Wind Age. The Deceiver, on the other hand, started out as an Avatara by all accounts (although you're certainly welcome to believe he was already plotting stuff.)
I Seem to remember a Myth
: Comic with the Watcher (Same helmet) Running up to the
: left of Connachyt, with Damas on his right, (MB im
: thinking of something else)
Nope, the guy on the left is in a hooded cloak. We're not sure who he is, although some suggest that he's the Faceless Man in his good form (IIRC the Faceless Man was one of those turned from the Light.) Otherwise he's probably just some Avatara.
also, there is the reason
: of why he hates the deceiver so much, I wouldn't be
: really mad if somone imprisoned me in a mountain, and
: I would be madder at the person who actually DID it
: (AKA Balor) instead of Myrdred (Deceiver), If the
: Deceiver were to trick Connachyt into thinking it was
: the watcher who killed Mazzarin (Thus giving him a
: reason to imprison him in a mountain), that would give
: him more of a reason to try to Kill Myrdred during the
: Great War when they were both on the same side.
: Also anyone who wears a dress with little bells on it
: can't be THAT evil :p
According to GURPS it was actually the Deceiver who trapped the Watcher in the mountain. Popular legends credit Connacht, but that's probably just because he's so famous and *everything*'s credited to him.
