: I dont really know i you habve discussed this before, but
: i wonder, why would Balor want to look after the tain,
: when he hates myrkridia, the game cleary shows the the
: evil has a interest in the sommuner, ( that was why
: they looked after the total codex right) but Balor
: after seeing balor in the last battle, when goes
: gak-gak after seeing a myrkridian battle standard,
: then i suspect that he dosn't want those myrkridias,
: so maybe it is Soulblighter acting on his own when he
: searches after the Tain, i think he is obsessed with
: it, the sequel MYTH II clearly shows that, so maybe it
: is Soulblighters connections to the dark magic society
: that have made him sick about finding the Tain, and
: maybe a traitor to Balor
Balor's aversion to Myrkridia was not at all rational--he simply didn't like them because as Connacht he'd been their greatest enemy. Soulblighter's using the Krids was an excellent thing for the Dark, and no sign of treachery.
GURPS characterizes Soulblighter as Balor's *most* faithful and adoring follower; although one can imagine that he might have been secretly plotting his master's downfall, all external evidence points toward his fidelity. That's what got him in the end--though not a Leveller himself, he loved the Leveller enough to try to carry on its work in another Great War, and without its backing he failed.
