I saw that you were discussing the religions in myth, well i am that lucky that i have a friend here in my university that is a teologist ( i think that is what you call'em in english the danish word is teolog)and he plays myth to
we think that the god world in Myth is very complex, the people there belive and many different god's mayber every village has their own patron god.
The people their worships, gods of stone, we have seen two devil looking statues in Myth level 2. and that mission force ten from stoneheim.
I don't think that the gods in myth has a very organized "pantheon" there spiritual world is filled wit spirits, and patron gods.
Gods like Wyrd, and Nyx are worshiped only by priest in cults, ( like the roman empire, and other medditeranian civ's) we know from GURPS that myth i full of magic colleges, i imagine that the priest and sorcerormaybe are very connected jobs, and indeed alric and maeldun looks like priest's, maybe they worship different gods, but it dosn't matter because the religion i higly polythistic.
wich mean that there are no real monotheistic gods.
But the different cults only worship one god each, maybe their are even people like the hebrews that belive in what teoligist's call " the god of the fathers" ( who later developed merged with the kaanian god EL ( who was from the same god universe as "bah'al") he then changed name to Jahve, and then became Elohim, wich by the arabians were made into Allah, while the christians made the name Jahve int Jehova)
but at the time of " the god of the fathers" the hebrews regonized other gods the, but they worshipped no other, and that'show monotheism begun, but the real world dosn't have wyrd loving sorceres shooting fireballs out of their asses.
But as for the cathedral in Covenant i maybe a cathedral made to worship the patron god of:
a: the Cath bruig Empire
b: the patron god of Covenant
c:if the cathedral is after Covenant cut loose of the bruigs.
it may be tha patron god of Alrics family.
d: it may be dedicated to the big god Wyrd.
i dont know which one it is. But I know that it is dedicated to one of these gods, that is what i can see out of my knoweledge to polytheistic religions.
