: At the very least, I imagine they respect the power the
: gods do have, but they put a lot more faith in their
: own abilities. I like this idea.
In the Leviathan system, made by Grendel productions, the dwarves, who seem very much like the Myth dwarves (they like tanks, artillery, high explosives, etc.), respect the existence of other gods (it's hard not to when several of them have manifested themselves in humanoid form), but they themselves worship two gods, the Source and Mekanizur.
The Source is the personification of the Universal Design, which is a sort of predeterminist theory. It has never manifested itself because, the dwarves hold that everything is part of it and all are just cogs in its great engine. Mekanizur is the Machine God, Lord of the Engines and patron of Technomancy. He is called opon whenever a new machine is tested. His temples are the great workshops within the dwarfholds. Something like this could easily fit into the Myth background.
BTW, how do the Fir'bolg control wolves if they don't get the power from B'y'laggo? Are the wolves simply trained? Do they get the power from Wyrd?
