: We dunno. I'd guess that at some point in the very
: distant past it was part of the Empire; probably it
: broke free during one of the Dark Ages.
Cool, I sorta assumed that but didn't go into it. I thought that if the Province was indeed an independent nation, they just happened to keep the name for convenience's sake. I do remember something about a "20-Year's War" dealing with succession in and around Covenant, which would probably have been less of an issue if it was Imperial. So I take it that Alric was king of not just Madrigal, but the Province as well? I had always thought Covenant was the seat of power in the Province (but that's just trivial).
: The Province is enamoured of the Empire because it's an
: ally, it's culturally similar and it's big. When the
: Dark comes calling, it's usually the Empire that's the
: backbone of the Light defense. Provincials would
: regret the Empire's destruction as the loss of both
: their friends and a valuable shield and weapon against
: the Dark.
Ya, figured as much, they just seemed to be awfully close, to the point where the Province might as well be part of the Empire. But this should be another message thread, I can tell we have plenty to talk about :)
: If, I dunno, all of Europe had been battling
: undead from the Americas during the 1800s, the
: annihilation of the British Empire would be viewed as
: a grave matter indeed. :-)
Curses! Although....this sounds like a rather intreaguing idea itself...hmm...undead Native Americans....
lol, look at this string....we start off talking about Myth's Gods and end up totally off topic. I like it :)
