: Okay first off, as I think someone else pointed out, race
: is very different from species.
Yeah, that was me, in my first post.
: Calling the Bruig a race means
: that they are just of a slightly different ethnic
: stock, nothing more.
This is what I've been saying all along. I think there has been some miscommunication.
: Heron and Journeymen are humans... does the
: "men" not tip you off? Also they are never
: reffered to as a different species. Perhaps they are a
: different race (i.e. ethnic stock), but nothing else.
I don't dispute this. Again, this is what I've been saying. Cath Bruig are a human ethnicity/race.
: To your question about the differences between Trow,
: fir'Bolg and humans, yes. Each of those species is
: actually seperate. The fir'Bolg I imagine are some
: sort of different genus of the homid species, having
: been isolated in the Ermine for so long they followed
: a different evolutionary path. Humans and fir'Bolg (so
: says GURPS, which _is_ kosher) cannot interbreed.
: Also, BTW fi'Bolg do have pointy ears.
Cool, I didn't know the pointy ear thing from ingame. I do wonder about how widely accepted GURPS is as full canon, but nevertheless.
: Trow are totally different. They are not at all related
: to anything else. They cannot even breed. They are, as
: far as we can tell magical constructs, similar to
: golums and elementals, but super intelligent and
: formed by a goddess. The reason they resemble humans
: and dwarves is because Wyrd (I think) fashioned his
: creations after Nyx's succesful model. Trow are not
: and have never been _at all_ related with humans.
Right. I was giving them as an example of a totally separate species.
Anyway, I hope this clears up my ideas and we don't have to spend more time misunderstanding each other, hehe :)
