: In this case wouldn't they have a lot of battles with the
: Trow and Mauls?
Well, the Trow are between the Mauls and the Zerks; generally the Mauls head south into the Cath Bruig and Gower regions if they're looking for a fight. Zerks *do* skirmish with Trow occasionally--this is more a permanent lifestyle than a war aimed toward any purpose. They sometimes patrol the high mountains during snowstorms--Trow which get caught in very cold weather temporarily freeze (they thaw right out once the cold passes) and the Zerks can hack them to bits easily.
: So, is Wyrd a bit like God is in our world? He is the
: most worshiped being?
Think of Wyrd like Ahura Mazda in Zoroastrianism, and the other Myth gods like Ahriman. Wyrd created the world, and seems to maintain it; the other gods apparently reach in and mess with the world to suit their fancies. Most humanoids worship Wyrd; the Trow worship Nyx, and other races worship various gods like the Spider-Gods, b'Y'laggo, the Dark Gods and so forth. All these gods are accepted as "real" by most Mythworlders; it's just that a given race will like some gods and consider them worthy of worship, and dislike the other gods and ignore them.
: But I'm sure in one of the Soulless flavour texts it says
: something about them spreading pestalence? Therefor
: the farms would have gone rotten.
Healthy mountain air, and that sort of thing. :-) 'Sides, a Zerk can usually take out a Soulless one-on-one without taking more than a small amount of damage.
: They do kick butt against Thrall. Do you know when they
: first made contact with southern dwellers? Have they
: ever made war against the south?
They're viewed as violent and a little scary by most Southerners, so I'd guess that a long time ago they would make minor raids into the South just as they do against the Trow these days. However, according to GURPS they've been allied with the Cath Bruig Empire for most of history; in return for being allowed to govern themselves, they serve in the Cath Bruig army in times of war.
We know from "The Ibis Crown" that they were already allies of the empire at the time of Clovis, its very first Emperor. That was about 2500 years before the Myth games.
