Since there's such a heavy emphasis on the Mythworld simply being dreamed by an entity in a higher universe, I think the most likely connection is that the dreaming being's in the Maraverse. I'm in the process of listing the possible Marathon phenomena by which a Maraverse dreamer--Durandal idly simulating a world, perhaps--would be inspired to create certain things in the Mythworld (for instance, the Dwarves may be largely inspired by the S'pht), but it's going...slowly. :-)
