: Alric isn't *supposed* to be anything but dead--he's
: supposed to be the unsuccessful Hero who dies and
: allows a Dark Age to start, same as whoever it was
: that Moagim fought. A Hero isn't supposed to win
: against the Leveller and start a Light Age for another
: thousand years.
: Now that the Light Age has come early, we really don't
: know what will happen to Alric. He may be possessed by
: the Leveller--or maybe whoever's supposed to become
: the Leveller in a thousand years will do so and Alric
: will have to fight them again--or maybe the Leveller
: will never come back. Lots of options...

But didn't Connacht just disapear during the Light Age? One of the journal entries said he disapeared and later returned as Balor. Lets say that SOulblighter didn't disrupt the cycle so The Light live happily ever after untill one day Alric disapears. The same cycle has been going on for so long and that every avatara returns as a Fallen Lord and so ALric, assuming he is the avatar, would return, eventually as a fallen lord, but when could be a very long time, but people must suspect that? And why on earth would The Narrator think that Soulblighter would be a Fallen Lord in the next Millenium? He wasn't an Avatar or at least a major one so what gives him any idea that hes destined to be taken over by the Leveler. I guess Im just not getting this.
