Hmm.. you have a point there. Forgot about the tain until after I posted the message, and I didn't feel like posting again to point that out. But what makes you so sure that Murgen and Rabican were better than Alric at magic and swordfighting, respectively? I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't seem to remember anything that conclusively said that.
