Actually, it doesn't. Like I said, Alric could have figured out what was going on, and simply not shown up. My point was that Soulblighter (and the head) INTENDED for Alric to be at the devoid, even though he wasn't. Now that I think about it, the part about Bungie planning for alric to die probably wasn't very relevent to my point, and I think that might have mislead you about what my point was.
