However, the narrator only talks about the deceiver up until the point where he leaves the rest of the legion, accompanied by the heroes. If you look at the dates for Shiver and Twice Born, you'll notice that they take place on the same day- Saturday, April 25th. It seems unlikely, when you consider that everyone was fighting Soulblighter's forces, that the narrator would be able to find out about the deceiver until at least a couple days later.
