Post Deciever "Death"
He speaks of the Deciever in the present tense. Having just related the events of the Heroes quest to kill Shiver, it stands to reason that the write would have known of the Deciever's death. It wouldn't be a small thing.
Also there is no mention of Deciever dying any where else in the game. One would think that an event such as the death of an Redeemed Fallen Avatara from ages past would at least deserve mention....
Anyway, I'm with GURPS and SiliconDream, The big D's alive.
