What we know as fact from GURPS is that, at approximately the same time Balor's head was destroyed, all the Dark forces (roughly 500,000 Myrms, Thrall, Fetch, etc.) at Rhi'anon were destroyed in an enormous explosion. It seems to me that the most reasonable explanations of this are that
a) Alric got the Dark forces to pile up around him, set off a Dispersal Dream to kill them all and teleported away before it could kill him too, or
b) Balor's body blew up at the same moment when his head blew up in the Devoid.
Either way, GURPS says that a good number of Myrmidons are still around.
