: The Myrmidons didn't die. This is hard fact as GURPS,
: Bungie sanctioned material, say that they didn't.
Almost asks for a new story or campaign, based around what
happened to the forgotten myrmidons.
: Also you wonder how Alric could blow up that many
: Myrmidons with only 2 dispersal dreams? Well, remember
: how they were charging at him... in a huge circular
: group, just asking for a well placed destructive
: "jumping" spell.
What's a jumping spell? (has visions of Alric leaping
up & down, squashing the 'dons as they group together
under his boots).
He didn't need to kill them all anyway. He could easily
have teleported himself somewhere else, just as he
teleported your forces to the Devoid. Which reminds me
of something ... what happened to Alric's teleportation
ability in Myth II?
Also, what happened to the Elbis stone he used on Balor?
: We don't know whether Balor's body explodes or not. It's
: not far fetched to assume that since his head exploded
: when he was killed that his body would explode as
: well.
Which may explain what happened to his invincible armour.
It depends on what caused the Devoid explosion - was it
just his head blowing up of its own accord? Or was it
an explosive trap, set by Soulblighter? Or something
else?
: Also Alric didn't have to kill all of the Myridons. The
: Myrmidons were only bound into Balor's service because
: they took an oath (perhaps some sort of magical geas)
: that exchanged immortality for their servitude to him.
: It's completely understandable that they didn't join
: with Soulblighter. After all, they really don't like
: their new state, in fact its an eterenal torment to
: them. Why join with the former ally of your ultimate
: betrayer. They would probably rather just be left to
: thier insane misery. When Balor dies their geas to him
: is broken and they have free will.
But they became "kithless" in the first place by being
overly violent & warlike. I doubt they'd become peaceful
in any way once Balor went - they'd be more likely to
want to go down fighting.
