: Ok first, 1000 years is a damn long time. Look at how
: much our civilization from 1000 A.D (early crusades)
: to 2000 A.D. (now). Second of all, these flying and
: walking machines arent fueled by gas or electricity,
: as Forrest (or was it Silicon?) sujested, they would
: be controlled by Rabican's (now a fallen lord's) many
: souls. And third, its not like there will be a lot of
: them, they would only appear in the third stage and
: will be about as common as Trow were in the Myths (not
: very common).
Actually, I was thinking that Alric had conquered a technologically advanced civilization over the seas, and brought back the machines with him. As for Rabican, he's long dead by Myth II; he would have to have something supporting his walking corpse a thousand years later, so he could scarcely be controlling all the machines. (I was thinking that Alric controlled them mentally, though they are still normally powered machines).
Also, the machines would appear at the end of the second stage (or maybe they're just mentioned), and last until halfway through the fourth - though they would be rare most of the time, yes.
