: Flying machine etc? This is kinda high tech for only 1000
: years of relative peace in the providence. I think a
: more plausable scenario would be for the new leveler
: to bring beasts from far to the west, maybe dragons
: terrorize the empire until the archers come out and
: start impaling the damned beasts.
Ok first, 1000 years is a damn long time. Look at how much our civilization from 1000 A.D (early crusades) to 2000 A.D. (now). Second of all, these flying and walking machines arent fueled by gas or electricity, as Forrest (or was it Silicon?) sujested, they would be controlled by Rabican's (now a fallen lord's) many souls. And third, its not like there will be a lot of them, they would only appear in the third stage and will be about as common as Trow were in the Myths (not very common).
: Also, since balor's head was thrown into the devoid
: (which is a gateway to the undead side), why not bring
: back a few of the nine with the head, but now evil.
: Balor's head could be the new head, but this time
: eventually misleading the dark (Alric and company)
: because of balor's intense hatred for Alric.
Hmmmm interesting idea. (For those that dont know where he's getting this from, I had a theory that the Great Deviod was a whole in the disk that it the Myth World.)
: The undead being on the side of the light doesn't make
: sense...even though Alric hated the undead, the undead
: would eventually start to hate the living, as they
: would have to work to support them.
They arent undead, they are imortals, like the Heron guards, but kept alive through magic rather than will power much like the Myrmidons.
