: Question: Should Homeland be part of the Myth Saga or
: not? They are two very good levels (not like most of
: the drivel posted at the mill) and definently try to
: be historically correct. Including them would provide
: more topics for debate and might even clear some
: things up (not likely :P). On the other hand they
: _aren't_ bungie sanctioned, the way that Chimera was
: (though that didn't have much bearing on the Myth
: series exept a for a few magic and demon questions).
: This means that it isn't "officially" part
: of Myth.
: Whadda you guys say? Homeland or no Homeland?
No Homeland. It's not official Myth, so any "clearing things up" would be along the lines of saying "We don't actually know what killed the dinosaurs--but wait, I read this comic book where they were all hunted down by aliens! Well, that clears things up!"
Besides, Creation doesn't have a large, complex and completely agreed-upon backstory which Homeland's growing out of. So it'd be hard to feel a sense of accomplishment when you put together a plausible theory--whereas with Myth proper you can at least feel like you're replicating the thought processes of the Bungie d00ds themselves. If you guys come up with some theory on the Homeland backstory, all we can say is "Yeah, okay. We didn't actually think of that, but sure."
7th God will be different, though. Oh mais oui. :-)
