Well, in my theory, the Leveller is separate from both of these. When the A *or* B spirit gains enough power over a champion to send him toward one extreme or the other, the Leveller steps in and finds him easily turned to the Dark.
The A and B spirits are always present from birth, which is of course not the case with the Leveller.
