That's an interesting theory. It's completely correct, though. I would think Alric would pretty much hate the undead and fallen. He could recruit some living armies (mercenaries, brigands, skrael, trow, mauls). The possibilities are almost endless. The Myrkridia and ghols would probably be out of the question though. I'm sure alric hated those a lot. There are some things that must be taken into consideration, though. As Dan Rudolph (I think) was saying, some of the dark aligned creatures may have been wiped out in those past 1000 years. The dwarves may have hunted down the ghols to extinction. The mauls probably are still alive, they probably fled back to the Blind Steppes where they came from after SB died. The Myrks, well who knows what happened to them. In all the time that the Summoner had to ressurect them, he could have literally made millions of them. There could still be some out there that Alric could use if he doesn't hate them too much. The trow may not side with him because they know what it's like to side with a leveler (balor, they got whupped). etc.etc.etc.
Alric could also head into the Untamed lands or the unexplored East (this has been proposed before), or even beyond the sea to the west. That would be interesting. There are no doubt countless races that could help him out over in those areas. He could create automatons that were never alive, such as golems, machines, elementals, demons, etc. Anyone who's played D&D can think of lots of neat creatures that such a powerful wizard could summon to form his army. Like I said. The possibilities are almost endless. Now how did this start?
