The Deceiver was born human as was Soulblighter, and became sorcerors/dark avatars like everyone else in the Myth Universe: hard work and reading dusty, crumbling tomes.
Soulblighter HAD a face till he cut it off. Ghols are don't have skin covering their mouth, it appears to be just muscle.
Not only that, but both of these men are dead. Yes, I said they are dead. We SAW Soublighter melt COMPLETELY AWAY in a lava pit, and we SAW the Deciever become reduced to a pile of bloody body parts. And don't give me that "it was a mirror body spirit double" BS. They are dead, forever. But continue to wish they are still alive if you want, but just remember why would bungie make them die at the end of the Myth sequel only to return again in a new one?? It never happened before in Myth with the obvious and completely understandable exception of Shiver.
