ummm... yeeeaaaahhh.....
I've actually thought about the possibilities of a Myth online RPG and have decided that it probably wouldn't work for a couple of resons.
a) The races are a wee bit unbalanced. Who would wan't to be a lowly warrior if you can TRO KIK your foes or dispersal them into smithereens? And if these races/classes are deemed off limits then what is left... humans... fir'Bolg (i.e. humans with an attitude problem)... dwarves (really small humans)... and ghols (weak as hell). This is not a very interesting selection.
b) The glory of Myth is that you take the role a commander of a small army/battalion/scouting party/etc... This is what makes it different from Warcraft, Starcraft and all the ripoffs of them. You _can't_ build up a massive army then march it with bonecrushing force into the enemy's town. You have to work with what your given and use strategy. This is why I love the game (plus it's history and tales, something which EverCrack, Warcraft and most other Computer FRPGs lack).
c) ummmm.... I've run out of reasons....
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with Mtyh as it is (unless a _good_ Myth3 comes out with better map making toolz and a good storyline).
