there are good points in the direction of myrdred being dead, but i believe the level after "shiver" mentions something along the lines of "With The Deceiver in possession of part of his being, Soulblighter no longer has the ability to escape."
this is *after* the level where he supposedly dies... this lends weight to the possibility that the deciever was living up to his name in "shiver" and was probably using some sort of remotely controlled mannequin rather than put his actual self at such great risk (going into the heart of the enemy camp with only 5 companions...).
perhaps the deciever *was* there when he was apparently killed. perhaps he somehow absorbed the essence of the crow he caught and it was a part of him at the time he died. that would pretty much stick soulblighter where he was, unless the death of that part actually frees him from it, which obviously didn't happen.
so in conclusion? i think the myth storyline could have been made a little stronger. :)
well that's all i can think of for now. fraw whatever conclusions you like from my ramblings. i just like the game. :D
