The Deciever is dead! It's was obvious in the particuar level (Shiver) of this mortal combat that he died,sort after he killed Shiver.
MYTH (TFL&SOULBLIGHTER)is a dramatic game(maybe the most dramatic of all the others)so it's natural,great heroes and persons who played signficant role in the history of MYTH to have a tragic destenies.
In every step we see heroic sacrifices and we mourn old friends& our warriors.Exaples are many:The great hero C.who became the evil Balor,the loss of 2 of the nine inside the tain to save the legion,the destraction of Alric's legion for saving the world or on MYTH2 the death of Cruniak in the hands of SOULBLIGHTER are simple examples for the dramatic story of MYTH.
So I think it's normal(I'd rather said necessity) that the ONLY FALLEN LORD who turn it to light and fight the armies of the dark sould have honorable death like this in the field of the battle try to destroy one of the most dangerous enemies.I personally call it purification of the soul and in the Deceiver's case I think that BUNGIE trully hit "the target".
I've heard many many rumours about anyone:SOULBLIGHTER IS STILL ALIVE or the WATCHER IS ALIVE or even now that DECEIVER IS ALIVE,I disaggre,I'm taking things the way that it apears and that helps not to be confused.
