: Actually I've been wondering about that section in the
: Encyclopedia for a while. There is no flavor text, no
: journal entries and no GURPS mention of Mazzarin
: becoming a shade. What the facts seem to point to
: (IMHO) is that Mazzarin, super-powerfull Avatara,
: collapsed a shrine to Nyx on the shade Sinis' head,
: then presuming him dead, left. Later the Watcher
: ambushes him and with the aid of seven waves of thrall
: destroyed him. GURPS then says that Mazzarin might
: still be alive and incapacitated somewhere (in the
: tradition of the Deciever, the Watcher and Shiver).
: There is no evidence supporting the Mazzarin-shade
: theory (of course I expect to be served some shortly,
: which I will do my best to disprove ;P)
There's a Shade named Mazzarin on "The Watcher", and a Shade flavor text mentions Mazzarin. Of course, the second Shade on the Watcher was originally supposed to be the reappearance of the first shade, who was supposed to disappear (see recent film at Mythmaster Central), so that COULD be an error... but then why have Mazzarin be in the shade names list in the first place?
