: That it would, as long as they were balanced somehow, and

: that, it sounds intriguing. Maybe the Callieach war could
: be a decent campaign too, and you'd be able to let your

I actually had planned a sequel to my infamously never-begun map about a Trow/Ghol/Fetch/Dwarf war around the Great Devoid, the one where the Dark/Old/Spider Gods were about to be freed. In the sequel, some many years later, it turns out that the Spider Gods have been working on a way to wedge open that interdimensional portal again, and they finally succeed. They send the Callieach through, who ally with the Ghols (who worship the Old/Dark/Spider Gods) and Spider and Fetch (their own creations), and start to destroy the world, starting with nearby Myrgard.

The surviving Dwarves around the world mount a huge army to take them out, the Humans and many other light and neutral races throw in their lot, and the Trow, scared shitless at the Callieach's return, don their massive battle armor and join the battle. They all head out toward Stoneheim, where the Callieach have set their capital (due to the Ghols' occupation of it), and some big-ass battles ensue. I never resolved how the interdimensional portal would be closed. Perhaps some sort of uber-Tain, and the destruction of the Great Devoid.

I think this would be a kick-ass little scenario, with all sorts of new units (the Callieach, the armored Trow, Ghols with Dwarven weapons, etc) and a cool story backing it all. But since the first map, with no new units, no new colormaps (just a reused Great Devoid map), nothing new at all, never even got started, I doubt it'll ever happen.
