They also appeared in River of Blood. The tags do make it fairly clear that the idol was the Forest Giants' though.

I think the drowned kingdom of Yer K's isn't inhabited by humans simply because it's underwater, and therefore not very useful. That's where the amphibious (and light-aligned) Skrael come from. The changeling seemed related to the conflict between the fir'Bolg and the Bre'Unor. He was made by the god of the Bre'Unor, and probably comes from the same area.
