I'm sure some of the veterans around here can give you
a much more detailed answer, but I'd suggest you have
the scenario occur during the Great War, but before
Myth:TFL, which doesn't take place until seventeen years
after the war has started. Balor has come and raised
armies of undead, the Kithless roam the land, the Fir'Bolg
are fighting along with humanity, Forest Giants still
aid the Light, etc. etc. etc.
The only disadvantage to this time period is that you
wouldn't see most of the new Myth 2 units. Depending on
your campaign, this might or might not matter.
