: First, it's Connacht, not Connaught. Connaught is a city
: in Ireland or some such.
Apologies, that was written hastily and I had no time to check my spelling.
: Second, there is a picture of Connacht, Damas, and a
: third general (who I should probably incorporate into
: UMS Deluxe) in Tales From MythTFL, and yes, Connacht
: and Damas do look practically identical as Balor and
: Soulblighter (notable differences being Damas has a
: face, and Connacht's not nearly as ugly). I wanted to
: give Damas his glaive since that Tales From MythTFL
: picture has it, but they insisted he be unarmed.
I can handle Damas looking the same, but there is a statue of Connacht in TFL, he has a beard, is holding a spear (or staff) and is carrying a book. It clearly says his name at the base of the statue and I tend to place in-game facts above outside sources. For the picture of the statue you needn't go any further than b.org's own Lengends and Lore section. I do agree with you on the Glaive matter, Damas should have definently been armed, his puch is really weak and he dies quickly if sent out alone, unlike his TFL and MythII counterpart.
: They had Heron Guards, Bowmen, and Berserks - we've seen
: their ghosts in Myth II. Those are the main Light
: units used in UMS.
You speak truthfully about the ghosts, but I really don't remember Heron ghosts, maybe I'm mistaken and it's not that important anyway. This does, however, bring up a small inconsistency, not in your story, but in that of Myth itself: Who had the bow first, the fir'Bolg supposedly have had for a while, and they were the ones who taught it to the archers of the legion... so how did the Cath Bruig get ahold of them. The only way I could see it happening is that they both invented the bow seperately, after all the fir'Bolg _were_ enemies of the Empire before, and it's usually stupid to give your war secrets to your enemies....
: GURPS says the Ghols range all over the lands of Myth,
: though their homes are in the southeast. And we know
: the Trow had enslaved them at one point, so why not
: Moagim and his Myrkridia?
Actually the only race that the trow enslaved were the Oghers, and they did that because they challenged them. Before that, any race that showed a possibility of a threat was stomped out of existance, not enslaved. The Ghols wouldn't have made very good slaves anyway.
One other thing that needs new sprites, though, is Calid Rhi, I thought that using the Alric collection was sorta cheesy, after all, Alric was wearing that in the west, leading us to believe that it is the traditional garb of the Western King, not the emperor.
Keep up the good work and don't hate me 'cause I nitpick ;P
