: Indeed, why doesn't he keep the crystal somewhere close
: where he can keep an eye on it?
Did you ever notice that James Bond never dies because he is always put in some elaborate death trap and given a very easy way to escape that the sinister villain manages to overlook? For that same reason.
: Another question - why doesn't he ask why Phelot didn't
: stop the breakout? I'd be pretty suspicious, as
: (a) he put Phelot in charge of the prisoners
: (b) he had close combat with the Deceiver, who is known
: for his binding ability.
(a) He assumed it was Phelot's usually incompetence. Phelot has a tendency to booze and womanize the night away.
(b) Soulblighter already knows half his army would desert him so whats one more?
: And yet another question - how come your guys are still
: armed even when held captive? They took the dwarves'
: satchels away, but not the swords & bows?
They did, but then the game designers scolded the Fallen for their actions, and they were made to give them back so the archers could break free.
: Last but not least. When Soulblighter reforms, would he
: have had a toe or finger missing, given he'd lost a crow?
Soulblighter did lose something, but he gets embarressed talking about it. He thinks the guys in the locker room will make fun of him because doesn't have a.... um... One Dream... yeah.
