Yes, Muirthemne is of Irish origin.

The tale of "Cuchulain of Muirthemne" is an Irish saga put into writing by the Irish writer and playwright Isabella Augusta Gregory. I don't actually know what Muirthemne was, but it was likely a place, given the context.

I so didn't get that out of an encyclopedia.
