: I be thinken bout this fer kite awile an I hava few brand
: spanken new ideas ta put forward.
: What if Moagim was actuly the first leveler for humanaty?
: If humans were so primitive maybe the leveler did not
: realy think they should be extermiated or enslaved.
: But the trow have hinted that the cycles have been going
: on for eons. So I ask, might it have been the Oghre's
: been the unfortunet ones dealing with the cycle before
: the trow enslaved them and destroyed their citys? And
: before that, could the other races that the trow
: eventuly felt they had to eradicat had to deal with
: the cycle before the real levelers took them out?
: If you look at the patterns we know of, the leveler usuly
: consentrates on the civilised culters and races who
: weld most of the power. This is how it must be if we
: go with the theory that the Leveler was created to
: keep the civilizations from becomeing to advanced.
: If, in reality humaity was truly primitive for most of
: the axe age than the levelers would have skiped them
: to keep down the stronger civilizations of the Oghrs

I think your posts, taken in chronological order, are disturbingly similar in style to Flowers for Algernon. ;-)
I don't think the Leveller ever targeted the Trow in this period, because a) we don't have any evidence of the Trow fighting massive wars between the extinction of the older races and the enslavement of the Oghres, and b) the Leveller wouldn't have much reason to; the Trow, who don't reproduce and whose culture progresses at a snail's pace, really weren't about to become a dangerously advanced race. By the time they reached a Sword Age human or dwarven level of sophistication, there'd be hardly any of them left.
However, I fully agree that the Leveller was after the Oghres. I think the Leveller appeared to deal with the younger races, who *do* reproduce and whose technological and magical development proceeds very rapidly. As the first dominant race of this group, the Oghres would be the natural target for the Leveller in the early Axe Age.
