Hell, for all _we_ know Alric is going to abdicate! I mean, there's never been just one king in the history of myth! There's always the balance of power between the emporer and the king of the west. Alric is, by blood i believe, the king of the west. He only became the emporer by finding the crown. It is a _bit_ dangerous to have all the power in the know lands in the hands of one man, no matter how many times he has proven himself... remember, power corrupts, and absolute power corruptes abolutely...
