You make an excellent point! I'll give in on that one, though I think the rest of my argument holds. Also, let's not forget where you find the Deceiver frozen in Myth II: dead smack in the middle of Trow territory. Unless the Dramus river carried his frozen body there over the years, that has to be where he was struck down.
Besides, let's not forget that Balor built his fortress at the center of the Trow capital. All of the Fallen Lords must have been frequent visitors to this place, where they would have met (or at least been seen by) the Trow.
Thirdly, even given the remote possibility that the Deceiver never met a Trow in his time as a Fallen Lord--there's still his FIRST incarnation as the "Greatest Avatara of the Wind Age", the end of the Trow's Golden Era, which means he most likely would have fought the Trow directly when Connacht (the greatest HERO of the age) was trying to imprison them. Of course, there is no direct evidence linking Myrdred and Connacht (believe me, I tried), but in all likelihood he would have been involved in that war.
Finally, even if the Trow and the Deceiver never, ever, ever evan began to get together before M2, you have to remember that the Trow are pathologically fascinated by history and would certainly, despite any odds, have studied the legends of humanity in the Wind and Wolf ages, and since the Deceiver was a major player in both of those eras his story would certainly have made the rounds.
