You're so right. There's got to be something about Alric
that isn't all purity and light. No-one's really explored
how the hero becomes the leveller, at least, not in a
series of maps. A campaign where Alric starts out as the
main man, then starts doing strange things, and finally
becomes your enemy ... hmm yes, and you have to find the
real Ibis crown before he does to defeat him. It needn't
be hidden under Muirthemne either, as that's rather an
obvious hiding place.
BTW, (back to MythII) its a damn good job they stumbled
across Balmung while they were down there. I wonder
what fighting Soulblighter near Tharsis would have been
like if Alric had his normal sword & 3 dispersal dreams?
