perhaps the real ibis crown DID have said amazing powers, and the little excursion into the crypts only managed to recover one of the copys. if alric had said "well we found a fake crown with no power, but we can still beat that mean ole soulblighter!" i dont think the legion would be very excited. i think alric knew at once that the crown was just one of the fakes, but he kept it to himself to keep the troops moral up.
that would mean the real ibis crown would still be hidden somewhere under muirthemne... sounds like a good idea for a solo map sometime eh?
