Ooh yeah, they was bonemen alright, unless my memory's
seriously defective. I think MDL was released after
Chimera, hence the unit was available for Creation to use.
As to their appearance - in Chimera we saw them in the 2nd
last level, "The Chimera". The narration for this, spoken
by Kyrilla, asks cartuke for power quite urgently, and then
ends with content thanks. As the only thing different
about her army from the previous levels is the bonemen,
its fair to assume Cartuke provided them. Also they're all over the place when you're invading cartuke's lair.
