the summoner was guy from strand who's destiny was to resurrect the myrkridia
the only reason he did it was because it was his destiny (it was told in the codex)

the bluish stuff is void black nothingness
it's kinda freaky
it's where there should be stuff but since it was a shard its just a big void
i would imagine that null void blue crap is similar to the devoid
it's just nothingness

gower is a crappy kingdom run by crappy people
so I'd doubt it
plus it always gets destroyed by the leveller so they are most likely having trouble building it into anything major
