I tend to agree with Murgen (BC Murgen, not Myth Murgen) and crew on what/who Kina is: who the hell cares, how do we kill her? :)
Although I lean towards 'formerly mortal'.... look at the way the Taken and Lady were treated in the BC flashbacks of pre-awakening, a myth/fantasy/fable.... and that was a time gap measured in humdreds... not thousands like Kina.

I wonder if Glen Cook has seen TFL?
