: Untamed Lands. South of Ruewood is Brighton, where a
: number of Dwarves come from in "The Mage";
: and since the Dwarves would very likely inhabit the
: Untamed Lands, that makes sense. The first four levels
: are all in the same continuous forest as Ruewood.
: However, in "The Messenger", we are south of
: Fosgarach, which is the graveyard near Willow Creek
: from Myth II's "Salvation". But, when we
: head north after that to "The Baron", we
: wind up on a southward-facing beach! After that, we go
: to a iced-over river in "The Chimera".
: The underground spot on "The Fiend" could be
: anywhere so that can be ignored. But from the Untamed
: lands, to north of Forest Heart, to a beach, to a
: frozen river - how does that work out?
: Best I can figure, they're counting the far southeast of
: the visible map as the Untamed Lands, and Ruewood is
: in Forest Heart. We travel across Forest Heart during
: the first four levels, and then wind up near Willow
: Creek in "The Messenger".
: We flee north to Fosgarach and fight the rest of the
: battle; then the messenger delivers his message and we
: go south toward Cavan Bight (the bay into which the
: Wild River empties) to meet Baron Volsung. After that,
: we head up the Wild River, which comes down from the
: Cloudspine and is thus frozen at the higher altitudes.
: Here we fight Kyrilla, and then teleport underground
: to Cartuche's lair.
: I seem to recall a mention in GURPS of some fir'Bolg
: living in Forest Heart, which would make sense.
: Changelings I could maybe see, though that's streching
: it. The spiders in there could have come out of the
: shattered Tain. Dwarves are from the southeast, near
: Stoneheim and Myrgard. It all works out fine.

Nice research. I guess Forest Heart is very very technically east of Muirthemne. And the Forest Giants weren't there in Myth2; maybe that was just their standard state of seclusion when there's no Leveller to fight?
You think there's Dwarves, and towns, in the Untamed Lands proper? Methinks they'd be pretty tame then.
