: are so evil that the water flowing out of the side of
: the dead is poisoned.
That's an interesting idea. I remember hearing that story, but I can't quite remember from where. Where was it?
Anyway, if that is true, then it makes Balor seem a little smarter than he looked in TFL. Since he stationed himself near the river (well, not too close, but close enough) the dark magic was more powerful there. I think. It makes sense to me that areas near that source of evil would be much more powerful sources of dark magic.
