First off, he would have been able to use many spells, or shades would not be worth much, cuz otherwise what would be the point of makeing the only out of sorcerers? Also the Deceiver is most likly not dead, becuase these Fallen Lords keep comeing back. Look at Shiver, for example, she must of gotten toasted. Many people think that the Watcher is still alive, and he got blasted. Last off, DA DECIVR SUX! He can take over units at a very slow rate, and attacks with little or no tactics ( look at how eh tried to beat Soulbligher. Head on every time!). If he was a shade, he might be almost as good as a warlock with higher health and the mahir's melee attack. Almost.
