OK, but gawd, they're major sorceresses, no? (And for that matter, the spider-world doesn't seem to have much gravity as such.) They can't cast a "parachute spell?" Or use an actual parachute? At the least, you'd expect them all to be camped out around the Devoid trying to figger out a way to get down safely.
