: Ok if he were Mazzarin, who could supposedly whoop the
: worlds ass, then why does he come back as the puny
: Summoner under Soulblighters command? The Summoner was
: such a big pansy, raising Myrks in a secluded corner
: of the Tain and when ya get to him he doesnt actually
: do much in the way of hurting you, just sends you on a
: nice teleportation to explore the other parts of the
: Tain. Why wouldn't he be taking over the world or
: beating up Soulblighter and Alric?
The Summoner was not a pansy. He ressurrected the Myrkridia and through them did more damage in a few months than Balor and the Fallen Lords did in the 30 years after the fall of Muirthemne. (they never sacked the Free Cities, but the Myrkridia did). Sure, he may suck in melee combat, but so did the Alien Demon at the end of Pathways, and I don't think anyone would call him a pansy.
I've got to wonder what his deal was though: why he worked for Soulblighter and why the hell he would want to destroy the world (or ressurrect the Myrkridia for any other means).
An interesting thing: Mazzarin had special powers with the Codex, and the Codex predicted the Summoner's appearance. Maybe Mazzarin knew all about his future as the Summoner? And why should Mazzarin have such good luck with the Codex?
