mb the Eternal Champions are the creation of another god who doesnt like Wyrd? this other god trying to stop the Leveler, because if the civilized races can build and explore enough, then they'll take up too much of Wyrds brain power, and Wyrd will lose conciousness in the godrealm because all his brain power is devoted to maintaining mythworld.
