Balor got his head lopped off. The Legion threw it in the Great Devoid and it blew up.
Meanwhile, a bunch of Myrms converged on Alric in Rhi'anon. Alric cast some magic and either dispersed all the Myrms or teleported out of there. Then a really, really big boom completely oblitterated Rhi'anon. That could have been Balor's body exploding, or Alric's magic.
Either way, there's no body left to be dealt with, and the head's either destroyed or eternally falling into a giant sucking pit of DETH! So Balor's gone and done with.
