Happy to oblige. The Heron Guard are fanatical about snowmen. This is stated in BURPS Myth (pg. 45 column II)
They were tired of life in Muirthemne and decided Bagrada was a good place to begin their artistic crusade of snow sculptures. It may seem unlikely that in a time of war and chaos, that the Heron Guard would do something as juvenile as build snowmen. But these ominous figures were built 35 feet high in some of the mountain passes. Now the thrall, who we can easily assume to be of lesser intelligence, were frightened by the large snowmen. They were nicknamed the Four Snowmen of the Apocolypse: Frosty, Buttonnose, The Corn-Cob Piper, and Duo-optical Coaleye.
