: I was working, and then moving, so I missed an entire day
: of computer stuff. A usual, when I'm absent, the world
: stands still :-)
: Good ideas. My main ideas for a storywriting thing, other
: than the parodies, would be two projects: one of them,
: a family history book dating back through the ages,
: with each of us writing one chapter (that is, each of
: us plays one of the family members who record
: generations and generations of history until they die,
: then there's a period where nobody writes anything,
: then someone comes along and updates all the missing
: generations and writes about their life and
: generations more to come, until they die.
: The second idea is a pseudo-RPG. Each of us would take a
: main character and put them in the Myth world, and
: write about their adventures, eventually meeting up
: together for some big climax. We would discuss
: beforehand big things that are to happen, and above
: all we would have to keep things sane: you can't make
: your character invincible and omnipotent, though of
: course you can write his story so that he doesn't die.
: We could even use our existing RPG characters in this
: system; actually, that would be a very good idea,
: since they're already balanced characters.
YEAH!!! THat's a great idea. I love that one, although I'd rather use a different character than my RPG one. I'll come up with an idea later probably, but I think we should definitely do that. I agree with whoever said that there is a lot of storytelling skill in this forum, and it should be used. Anybody who goes over a story like Myth's in as much detail as we do has got to have a lot of skill with making his own stories, so there's definitely something there.
I'm actually thinking of writing my own book (not myth related, but a book nonetheless), and I doubt I would've thought to do that without the Asylum's help in discussing stories. This is a great thing, and I'm sure we've all got our own cool ideas. Let's get to it. I'll make up the part of the asylum page devoted to the story sometime, unless you want to do it.
As for everyone else, why don't you people start posting ideas? I've got an idea for my character that I'm writing about. He's a fir'Bolg, and has been exiled from his homeland for a certain crime (yet to be determined), and wants to travel the world in search of the lost artifacts of the first great war... Possibilities are endless, right?
